Advertise your Leisure related activities, products, services and events.

·	Computers have become more affordable and the majority of households either own one or have access to one.
·	The internet has become accessable through other mediums ie mobile phones and even games consoles and digital television. Broadband is now being offered in more and more packages including telephone and television.
·	Even in the climate of an economic down turn, internet releted sales are on the increase.
·	An online advertisement is available all day and night for as long as the advertising terms offer - unlike traditional media eg newspaper, television or fliers.

Due to the growth in the online industry numerous oportunities and even more pitfalls await the newcomer and with years of experience I too have fallen into them.

In its simplest form an online advertisement consists of a title, a short description and a contact point ie email, web or physical address. The majority of websites offer this through various mediums however, BEWARE that yours may be the smallest of adverts on a low ranking page on an insignificant site with no particular interest in passing any trade your way. Some sites offer free directory placement and then use your details to send spam and even sell your details on.

·	Choose paid advertising as you can see upfront where the company that put the site up makes its money.
·	Choose advertising that you can budget to ie calculate and agree a maximum spend before taking up the offer.
·	Choose Manualy reviewed and entered advertising as these sites are doing their best to ensure that their terms and conditions are being met and that unwanted material is excluded. These sites tend to be more focused and trusted.

¡	Our experience has made us realise that a small advert is not as effective as a realy large article and so we offer more than the average directory by allowing you to submit an article with your advertisement.
¡	To preserve the page ranking of the category pages, we use robots "no follow" links to web addresses, however, the internal link to your article is not a no follow link and we do not use robots text on the submitted article
¡	After paying for your advertisements placement, you will be given the opportunity to place further advertisements either in other categories or even in other local towns. This does two things - increases your marketing area by having advertisements on more pages (at a small fee of course) but also increases your articles profile and possible page rank by having more internal links to it. We go still further than other directories by allowing you to change the wording of your advertisement to suite the pages advertised on and thus increase your exposure. Please do take advantage of this as the time taken will be more than compensated by improving your potential market.
¡	Furthermore, we hate spam as much as anyone else and if you choose to put email addresses as your form of contact we will do our best to encrypt these. This process may not be foolproof but we have found that it has worked well with our own email addresses.
